De San Antonio Sugar Mill - New Factory Project

IN 2005 ENERGY POWER CONSULTING ENGINEERS WAS APPOINTED AS AN ELECTRICAL CONSULTANT FOR THE POWER GENERATION AND DISTRIBUTION EQUIPMENT FOR THE NEW DE SAN ANTONIO SUGAR MILL.

In addition to the consulting services, Energy Power Consulting Engineers provided design and engineering services and also supplied a Si-TEC Xtend digital control and governing system for a new 15MW Shin Nippon Steam Turbine Generator (STG).

The consulting, design and engineering services included:

• Specification Documents for Medium and Low Voltage Switchgear and other associated installation works

• Adjudication of Tender Bids for Medium and Low Voltage Switchgear

• Detailed Arrangement and Layout Drawings for Power Generation Control System and Medium Voltage Switchgear

• Detailed Schematics for Power Generation Control System and Medium Voltage Switchgear

• DCS I/O drawings for Power Generation Control System and Medium Voltage Switchgear

• Control System Functional Description

• Power Systems Analysis that included load flow, fault level, protection co-ordination, transient stability and harmonic studies

• Programming of Protection Relays for medium voltage switchgear including settings and scheme logic.

The new de San Antonio Sugar Mill was successfully commissioned prior to the commencement of the 2008 cane crushing season. Energy Power Consulting Engineers would like to acknowledge the assistance of Australasian Boiler Services in provision of information during the design stages.
